Part A. Self-Driving tours with your own automobile or motor bicycles

In the past, it was a luxurious desire for overseas tourists to travel by driving their own automobiles. But now we can turn your dream into reality. No matter you join by driving your own automobiles or motor bicycles, or you come for a adventurous tour, or a sight-seeing or just for transfer, we can and are willing to provide you any services you need. During the process of intensive contact, we need your information as below:

1. What kind of vehicles and how many will you drive to China, number of participants and their nationality.
2. Interested route, duration, entry and departure ports, itinerary.
3. Nature of the tour, is it sight-seeing tour, investigation tour or adventurous one?

After we receive such information, we will keep in close contact with you to work out a detailed itinerary that will satisfy your need and be accepted by you. After this, we come to the stage of fulfilling itinerary which requests you to provide following material:

1. Color pictures of each vehicle (2copies),their models, copy of vehicle identification including number of the vehicle body, serial number of the engine, type of fuel, original number of license plate, country of region it belongs to, color of the body and so on. And remember to tell us the present value of each vehicle.
2. Information about the tourist to drive in China: Copy of his or her passport,5 photos identical to that on the passport, his or her occupation, copy of the driving license.
3. List of logistic supply equipment and their value, such as spare parts of automobiles, camping facilities, communication appliances like GPS system

and satellite-transmitted telephones.

4. Confirmed route, itinerary, entry and departure ports, service items requiring us to enter into the contract.

Based on these, we start to apply for and obtain following permits and formality necessary for your proposed tour in China. This process may request 2-3 months.

1. To apply for a written reply released by related department of Chinese Government to allow automobiles to enter into China and travel permits to ensure the tour legal and operable.
2. To obtain temporary travel licenses, license plates and pay various fees such as road toll and purchase insurance for automobiles.
3. To obtain temporary driving licenses and buy insurance for tourists to drive in China.
4. To finish all customs formalities for automobiles to pass through the entry ports.

As soon as we finish all the work mentioned above, we wait for your coming.

National tour guide will escort you in the journey to give any necessary service, e.g. hotel reservation, food booking, visits to scenic spots, coordinating and dealing with affairs and problems arising during the journey so as to keep the tour going smoothly. If there are more than 4 automobiles in a group, we are certainly to arrange a guide car.

In recent years, we have successfully organized self-driving tours as below:

1. Amsterdam-Beijing-the Silk Road Return Tour with 2 vans in 1993.And it lasted for 3 months.
2. 4WD Adventurous Tour from Shanghai to Munich in 1994.The group entered China from Shanghai and departed from Turgart.23 4WD Land-cruisers joined and four trucks followed it proving logistic supply.
3. Round-China adventurous Tour by 4WD Land-cruisers in 1995.The group, with 16 Land-cruisers and 1 logistic supply truck, landed China in Guangzhou and traveled in Guangdong Province, Guangxi Province, Guizhou Province, Yunnan Province,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Gansu Province, Inner Mongolia, Hebei Province, Beijing, Tianjin for 53 days.
4. In 1996,a group with 2 Vans entered China from Kathmandu via Zhangmu and headed to Kailasch,Lhasa,Qinghai-Tibet Highway, the Silk Road and departed from Turgart.
5. China-Viet Nam tour in 1997.The group, with 16 4WD Land-cruisers, landed Ho Chi Minh City and entered China via Yunan and headed to Tibet, Xinjiang Gansu Province, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi,Henan,Hubei,Jiangxi,Anhui,Zhejiang

and departed from Shanghai. It traveled in China for 55 days.

6. China-Mongolia-Pakistan Off Road in 1998.The group, with 17vehicles,landed Tianjin and headed to the Republic of Mongolia via Beijing,Hebei,Shanxi,Inner

Mongolia and entered China again from Hami in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. After traveled along the Silk Road, it headed for Pakistan through Hongqilapu and returned to Europe from Karachi

Part B

Compared with driving tours with your own vehicles, we think driving by hiring ones is much easier. You need not ship or drive your cars in long distance to China. This will save lots of your money, neither will you prepare much for it. Of course, you may be restricted to some extent by driving a Chinese car, but you will experience something different, for example, the steering wheel on the left side rather than on the right side.
